USDA PLANT HARDINESS ZONE MAP
Find your location on the map, or you can determine your hardiness zone easily by entering your ZIP code on the website garden.org.
This will tell you which growing zone you are in. Each plant has two numbers listed beside the Growing Zone (for example, 6–9). This means the plant will grow in Zones 6, 7, 8, and 9.
Please Note: There are many variables involved in plant hardiness. We use the best information available to provide cold hardiness information for our plants. Zone maps are based on multi-year temperature data. Maps using data from recent, milder winters have shifted many areas one zone warmer.
To further complicate matters, temperatures in any given year can fluctuate by one or even two zones, either warmer or colder. Factors such as lack of snow cover, early or late temperature extremes, and protection from mulch or nearby buildings can also affect plant survival.
We hope this information serves as a helpful guide when selecting plants for your garden.
